I installed this line (from Porsche) about a year ago and had the same issue, though maybe not as bad as in Tony's photo. What worked for me was a lot of back and forth between the two ends, bending the tab on the line somewhere between 90-180 degrees down (I think the factory orientation had it sitting high from the nut on the engine tin), and using a longer bolt and spacer to secure it to the engine tin. It's definitely not as close to the engine as it could be, but close enough not to cause any issues, and the spacer makes sure that it doesn't wobble.
