True... DuraAce hubs are generally bullet proof. The crank issue with Shimano is well documented but cranks from all manufacturers can fail.
My big concern is alloy handle bars. That's one of the few components I won't buy second hand. Back in the day, before carbon they were getting very light and failed regularly (they're better now).
