I don't get "time capsule" cars. Well, I do and I don't. If the car is old enough or rare enough, fine, if you've got the money, then go for it, I would. It would be nice to have a car that was practically perfect. I'd go through all of the fluids, rubber, etc..., and then you'd have a perfect, practically new car which would be impressive if the car was 40, 50, 60 years old. I'd think the original owner(s) were idiots for not driving and enjoying the car, but whatever, their loss would be my gain.
But for a car that's 10-15 years old and not THAT rare, it seems beyond silly to not have driven it.
Limited edition? Great, how many were made. Bullitts, that'd be ~6600. If it was something that only 50 or 100 or maybe even 150 were made, great. It's still silly, but sure, that might be an investment.
I did like the aesthetics of that generation of mustang. The only thing that would have made it even better was if the rear fender had a curve along the top like a slightly later model.
But overall, I prefer the 2008 body style. It had cleaner lines. The newer cars were trying too hard to look "tough" or "mean".
Jason Statham is tough, but he's not a good look for a car.
