Right. And those mods may have been fine, or maybe not. That's the problem, it's probably hard to know how well they were done unless you've got records and the place that did them has a great reputation.
Now these would have been a rare mustang to save, but it still would have been a crime to not drive it. These were absolutely special.

How many of the more recent boss 302 were made? Weren't those supposed to be pretty awesome? Then weren't there GT350 or GT350R or something. And I think there were also GT500. Were they as great a handler as the Boss 302 or were they more of a drag car setup?
I haven't kept up with the myriad of options in the past 5-10 years, and mustangs in particular in the past 15 seem like they have gone through massive changes every 2-3 years. Or maybe I'm just out of touch.
