My father-in-law was fastidious in his keeping things clean, so hopefully it’s nothing in the carpet or fabric. And it’s not a terrible smell, just like the smell of an old tractor. I was just curious if this was a common smell in these 40 year old cars? Someone here suggested that it was a familiar aroma of the old German plastics and vinyl.
