I got no issues with my Pioneer Avic Nex from ~8.5 years ago in my boxster. I don't think it's supposed to play videos unless the car is stopped (sees that the parking brake is set, I think) but I've never tried to watch videos. I don't even use the "HD radio" feature. I use Pandora and Waze and calls and texts via carplay.
