Well, if your current head unit does not have AUX in you are left with the built in speaker which I'm pretty sure will sound like ass comparatively.
It does have the local FM broadcast option but unless that tech has gotten significantly better in the last 10 years it's also not optimal.
If you get this and the original head unit has a caseette deck you can use that as the AUX in.
