Hyundai/Kia lawsuit in Atlanta
Been watching this story unfold via the local news . Complaints from customers that their Hyundai and Kia vehicles are too easy to steal .
Apparently some models do not employ an immobilizer and therefore one less item a thief has to worry about . This mornings news broadcast stated the companies have settled the 200 million dollar lawsuit .
What do you guys think about this ? Are the companies negilent for not having an immobilizer ? Are the customers negligent for not getting educated on what they are buying ?
Isn't the real issue the car thieves ? Many cars before year 2000 can be started with a screwdriver jambed into the ignition switch . Are all those car manufacturers negligent for not having better theft protection ? My feelings are the issue is the thieves and it stops there . Thoughts ?
