We have a local company that manufactures in Australia... "Knog". They make really cool bike lights, head lamps and flashlights. They don't make everything here but their stuff is well designed and just works.
However in your case I'd get something
"Made in the US". Not cheap but like always you'll soon forget what you paid and enjoy years of trouble free use with excellent customer service.
