Yesterday, one of the most unusual rides I've ever done; me and a pal cycled 23 (paved) laps of a local cinder cone turned into a city park. Each lap a little over 2 miles with a little over 200 feet of elevation for a total of 50 miles and 5000 feet of vert.
Strangely satisfying, even though it made no sense to do this in the first place. Just done on a whim.
