Here's the totally unscientific results from the swap. Top is regular halogen H4s, the bottom is the LED. The level of brightness is just a little bit higher on the LEDs.
In this one the bottom is the halogen and top LED. You can see there's a sharp brightness at the cutoff and overall light levels are better, but the difference isn't as spectacular as I was expecting. The true test will be taking the car for a ride out in the middle of nowhere to see how the LEDs perform. I wasn't terribly impressed with the halogens on my recent road trip, here's hoping the LED perform better.
