Do you buy drinks at restaurants?
Just wondering. My wife and I don’t drink very much at all so we hardly ever order drinks with meals in restaurants. Another reason we don’t is because we’re cheap. I learned long ago that drinks are a huge profit item for restaurants.
We went out to lunch one time with another couple and their two daughters. Both girls were under 21 at the time so not allowed to order alcohol but their parents let them get virgin drinks. They each had two at $12 a glass! That’s nuts, $48 for just their drinks! My wife, son and I drank water. I asked for separate checks. Probably why we haven’t gone out with that family again.
