The easy answer, and I am coating my 6 month old deck this weekend, is there are more options than I have brain cells available.
True. Depending on the type of wood and your preference for either a stain or clear coat, the world is your water-proofing oyster.
BTW, I tend not to spray on stain...I use a roller. Much faster and less waste. I have a sprayer I have not used in 20 years. It was a bad idea.
