Today's pressure treated doesn't have much copper-sulphate in it.
I suspect because it's applied while the wood is still fresh and can't absorb much. It's best to wait a year for the pores to open up and reapply from a jug.
It will turn it green..
The 6x6's that were used to ring my garden are falling apart and rotted through, after less than a decade with a couple coats of oil stain (Cabots doesn't last outside).
