I remember that issue.
I use to be an Italian bike snob too only that I can't afford Campy SR and raced with Suntour. Until I has a summer job working for a bike shop, my world opened up so I started chasing uber light Italian parts like OMAS headsets and ti BB. I am still a European bike snob to some extend but discovered the little differences between carbon frames but the name on the downtube. I don't think I like a Pinarello. I still only like Itlian steel frames even though some of the domestic builders build better frames then the current or traditional Italian builders. Rossin, DeRoas, or ... I do not like a Pegroetti
