I tried wired electric razor that looked like that (think it was a Norelco) many, years ago, probably 30. My dad used one. I don't like them. I have experimented with disposable razors (usually with the handle that you keep and refill blades) until I find one that I like and then I stick with it. I find that some blades have a tendency to cut more easily than others. Maybe it's technique.

These days, if I let it get too long, I'll use clippers. I may just use the clippers, or I might use clippers and then one of the disposables.
