Replaced the janky oil cooler lines on the RX350 today. Yeah, look at this junk. The old set up used two rubber hoses and they were prone to developing leaks, so the set up was later changed to all metal lines. At some point in this vehicle's history, one of the rubber hoses must've been leaking and was "repaired" with some cobbled up junk. Geez, it would've been easier to just replace the old hose with another rubber hose. Anyhoo, it is all good now.
I was going to change the oil so I drained the oil and removed the oil filter canister before removing the junk oil cooler lines. I ordered an OEM filter and it was supposed to have been delivered today but nope, it is still "in transit", so I will finish things when the new filter arrives.
