I was thinking about an episode of
Men of a Certain Age called "Mind's Eye," which was my favorite one because it had some great car dealership humor in it. It was a great series that I would highly recommend- it only ran for two seasons starting in 2009. I came across this article that discussed its critical acclaim and cancellation due to insufficient ratings:

It's too bad some excellent shows couldn't get the traction they needed to be viable. One of my all-time favorite series was
Carnivale, which was supposed to be 5 seasons, but only lasted 2. The original
Star Trek should have lasted more than 3 seasons. Many more.
