This is the garden in front of my garage. The fountain statue is a concrete 6,000 pound, no wait, slight exaggeration, but heavy thing. It is a struggle to pick it up onto the base where the water is, and the pump hides under her base. I had to replace the pump today.
It was likely the easiest project I have done in recent times. Just lean her forward and remove the old pump, use new pump, lean her back and done. They still sell an identical replacement. The old one was 5 years old.
Every fall I put the statue on the ground, and we drain the part that holds water, and the pump goes on a shelf in the garage. After years, I can R&R the pumps quickly.
Super easy project. Wife is happy, and I am a hero.
