If you are worried sick with your hydraulic tensioners replace them with mechanical tensioners like they use for race motors. But this is an over-kill solution.

These Carrera hydraulic tensioners are not 100% fool-proof. Some added collars and other mechanical contraptions to prepare for an expected failure. I would not worry too much. Pay attention to your engine noises and enjoy driving the car. Or let it be a garage queen for less stressful experience. You have a greater chance of being rear ended or getting involve in a vehicular accident than a hydraulic failure.
