Fuel Evap Canister Issue? Rehab or Replace?
For quite some time now...I've noticed a faint fuel smell as I drive - which increases very slightly with windows and roof cracked open a bit. No fuel smell in engine bay, nor any from around the fuel line/pump/filter connections in the rear.
My thought is this may relate to the evaporative canister and associated connections, and while I don't notice a smell from the general area where the canister is located, I'm wondering if there might be just enough emanating from this as I drive.
Thinking on this a bit more...I have a question about the evaporative canister: might it give out over time, and/or is there a way to check its operation? Perhaps a simple replacement?
