Yep. Did the water pump, timing belt and tensioner.
Aside from being really messy - wasn’t a bad job.
This one is a SOHC so it’s all about making sure cam is in time. Worst was getting the plastic cover back on the right way.
Water pump was leaky so glad we replaced. Timing belt looked fine - but you never know til you’re in there.

Next thing we need to do is rear control arm bushings. That looks like could be a rough job. All depends on how hard it is to press out the old ones and press in the new.

Also did daughters 2007 forester timing belt and water pump. Wasn’t horrible either.

Just need to be methodical and research the job ahead of time.
