That may be part of it, but...
The sea bass was excellent, and the Carmel cheese cake was perfect.
At the two very overpriced parade banquets the food was not nearly as good, and I would say a 2 star level poor, especially for the price.
Phew, I got up at the crack of dawn, got my breakfast scarfed down, and some coffee in me, and went to wash off 50 pounds of bugs from the car.
The upper part of the front valence, just under the bumper is really hard to get to with the car on the ground. I will put it on the lift to clean that part properly of bugs. There were bug hits on the wheels, and even the doors. Going through parts of New Mexico, from Roswell to Clovis it sounded like the bugs were trying the send a message in Morse code. Wack, whack wack. One whasp looking bug was really tough. As I parked the 911 I noticed that even though he had embedded himself under the windshield wiper, and pretty much bifurcated himself, he was still alive. I flipped him onto the ground to step on him and end any pain. He was still kicking! So I ground him into the pavement to be sure he was dead.
I was planning on edging and mowing after I washed the car. A rain storm came in, and has dumped .85 inches of rain. No mowing today. It would have been a good day as the dew was low. Now, I bet tomorrow it will be heavy dew. Oh well, free water!
