While I was in California last week it was 107 one day. I came out to my 911 and the rear view mirror had fallen off. I had to drive over to a local Autozone and buy some rear view mirror glue, and a scraper to scrape the glass and the button clean. Then follow the directions, glue the button back on, wait 30 minutes and hang the mirror.
It is weird to look up expecting to see what is behind me and only see sky. Much like walking into a dark room with the power out, and instinctively, flipping on the light switch, knowing there it no power. Doh! I kept looking and it was gone.
It is really nice to see what is back there.
