You should put your valve cover question out on Off Topics as it's own question. I bet there's a lot of people who know who never visit the mechanical side of the forum any more.
I was fortunate enough to get a good set of valve covers that never leaked. I always treated them to new gaskets after every valve job, but I doubt if that's the answer you're looking for.
