You can see the damage from the outside. They can see the damage on the inside. Good move keeping you overnight. Same for my wife when she fell.

I suspect you were whisked in quickly when they saw a head injury because of a possible brain bleed. A very good friend of mine my dad's age was in his truck and got hit in the driver's door. He was able to get out but by the time the paramedics got him in the ER he had turned into a vegetable. He hit his head hard on the upper door frame in an older F150.
