AFA TC goes, I found the MI series to be way too full of CGI. Movies that are more like video games don't interest me whatsoever. Protracted car chases and gun battles where bullets are bouncing off corners that in real life they would go right through doesn't help.
I didn't particularly care for Yellowstone after S3, but when they got the guns out it was over in seconds as it normally would be. And they certainly didn't succumb to a horse chase like the Lone Ranger that would have worn down a horse in less than a minute.

I think the MI movies have less CGI now than they did back in the beginning. But yeah, like most action movies these days, they are generally over the top. Fortunately, I'm fully in touch with my inner 12 year old, so I regress and enjoy the over the top silliness.
