Anyways. When you fall, it’s the second hit that gets you. The brain slamming the skull. This got my mom.
She has recovered but falls are now scarier.

I'm glad that your mom is OK. I'm guessing that your various mtn biking crashes don't count. The good news is that now that you're kayaking, you don't have far to go to get to the ground and it's water, not ground. As long as a shark doesn't get you, you should be OK.
