That would definitely be the easiest route. It simply depends on how much you want to get your hands dirty and what type of performance you want the car/engine to have. At $10k I would start looking at rebuilding the original engine. I think you would come out better buying a used/junkyard LS series engine for about $200~1000 and refreshing it for another $1000 or so. Then add another $1500 for engine management (preferably holley). 10K vs 3.5k and you'll be able to rev higher than the LS3 (saving that 911 feel)
