I see a lot of those around here and they look like very tall dirt bikes. Knobby tires. If I were looking for a dirt bike I would get a 250 two-stroke or a big displacement thumper.

Exactly. The 1150 series is well thought-of. This particular bike was built just before the troublesome servo ABS system.

I am looking for a pure street bike which is a hybrid/compromise. With the bags off, this would be a decent sport bike for an old fart like me. With the bags on, its a tourer.
