That is a large setup! Are you planning on big parties (kids sports, friends, family, neighbors) on a frequent basis? I think the previous replies are dead on correct. 15 years ago I built a custom outdoor BBQ and entertainment area. We used it alot (kids sports events) the first few years and then it became a backdrop to the backyard.

All your storage spots will be filled with critters inside 6 months for sure. I thought I wanted an outdoor mini fridge but soon realized it was never really used. If I could do it over again I would have added a deep sink with a divider - excellent to fill one side with ice and some drinks. Since my top was poured in place I would have the sink poured concrete as well.

Shade is always top priority so make you you plan well for how the sun crosses your property. Wind is also important to consider. At our place we got consistent wind from the ocean even though we were inland 8 miles. I made sure my BBQ was placed so that smoke was not blown on the guests.

I elected to skip a sink cause the house was 20' away and already setup for dishes and cleaning. I did NOT want to do them at the island.

Good luck!
