Shade is always top priority so make you you plan well for how the sun crosses your property. Wind is also important to consider. At our place we got consistent wind from the ocean even though we were inland 8 miles. I made sure my BBQ was placed so that smoke was not blown on the guests.
I elected to skip a sink cause the house was 20' away and already setup for dishes and cleaning. I did NOT want to do them at the island.

No kids, but very social DINK's (not swingers lol). Of all things, I prioritized the sink as #1. I wash my hands constantly. I did get a good recommendation to spray foam the area around the sink when installed to give it more insulation for when I ultimately fill it with ice.
Massive covered structure of 20x14' so direct sun is taken care of. We will be getting sun shades to take care of the pesky low-angle stuff and help with privacy.
