Put a cast iron skillet and sear my steak after a sous vide bath and I am golden. I'd rather maximize counter space.

The searing station is my favorite part. The BBQ ....not so much. It does everything I ask it to and it is a quality unit. The problem is I had a Vermont Castings for 20 years (and still have it) and it is an amazing BBQ. When the VC heats up it holds it's heat because of the heavy cast and cooks uniformly. The Pro 500 looses it's heat if you leave the lid open. You are then cooking with the flame and not the BBQ. They tell me I am being too picky.
