I just moved the existing wires across as-is so if anything is wired wrong, it was wired wrong to begin with. But fortunately I don't think it was heavily messed with so it should all be fine.
Getting two wires in those connections is a pain in the ass for sure.

I probably need to factory reset it or something. Might also be broken? Not sure - I haven't investigated further since the car is running great. Once the driving season is over I'll go back to it.
