Apples & Oranges, but...Here's Jack:
Big Willow is my home track. Jack's 10 year old time was impressive.
It is apples and oranges as the Big Willow racing surface has rapidly deteriorated in the last 10 years. Times today are much slower than 10 years ago.
The bumps and ruts and uneven surface chowder up the fragile lightweight open wheel race cars that now try to avoid racing on it.
The good news is next month half the track is being resurfaced while the other half gets crack fill and slurry.
Then next year the second half will get resurfaced, lap times should be falling soon at Big Willow.

When BR and I raced that Saturday everyone's morning qualifying times were a second slower than the test day the previous day.
In qualifying BR was second and we were third .4 of a second behind.
We had 650hp and BR was pulling me 2 or 3 car lengths on both the front and back straights.
Man those older Mustangs are fast.

10 years ago I bought Andy Porterfield's last race car.
Andy's best at Big Willow was a 1:18 in this car.
The car had been sitting for 3 years, on 3 year old slicks the first time for me driving it with minor prep my best was a 1:24.
This last year with much tuning thanks to an ex-engineer from Richard Childress racing I plan to improve my time on the new surface at Big Willow.
Big Willow was finally added to Iracing, so I've been on the simulator practicing for our return to Big Willow.
