FWIW - US Greenhouse gas emissions are well below 1990 levels in the US, and continue to trend down - down 7% from 1990, 20% decrease since 2005. Peaked in 2008.
The focus should be on land use, and not paving everything under. Only 13% of emissions are offset by carbon sinks, would be higher if there was better forest management.
I hear you, the layered effect on fisheries, wildlife, plant life and crop management had better be a focus. I hope the planet is more resilient than we give it credit for...
