I was supposed to bleed the brakes a couple of weeks ago to get those last bits of air out, finally found some time. The brakes are nice and firm now.
I also had some small belt squeal when the A/C was on and I was accelerating, so I pulled out one shim to tighten things up.
I also took the opportunity while the wheels were off to clean up a bunch of brake dust. Almost none on the back wheels but the front was pretty bad - five rags worth!

That shim should now go on the washer side. You should always have six shims. Their placement changes how tight the belt is.
