Covid saw me going the other way. In March 2020, I was aware my scale was going to 210 on a regular basis. About that time my dear sweet wife, who makes peanut butter _ chocolate chip cookies to die for mentioned I might think about reversing the trend. That did it. Cookies ( my precious!) became verboten. Portion control did the rest. Over the next year and a half I dropped an average of two pounds per month. Now I fluctuate around 171 - 173.
Benefits: my knees don't complain if I have to kneel for a short while. Muscle cramps have gone away except after heavy work, such as haying. Shirts I put away a decade ago fit again. I am back to a 34" waist again and bid my 36 and 38 inch wardrobe "Goodbye. "
You can do this if you really give a rat's arse about yourself.
