USS Saratoga, (CV-3) celebrate Neptune's Day Febuary 1944.




This photo, taken before 1900 by William Henry Jackson, is titled “Mining on the Gold Belt” and was likely taken near the town of Ouray. It is hard to imagine the obstacles that independent miners had to overcome to start a mine like this.
