I've been told many times that moth balls work but had one guy say he found moth balls in the nest!
Death is the only answer. I put the old fashion spring traps at both sides of the garage door and monitor them constantly. I also put glue boards with cheese in the center in a few spots along the walls. I figure mickey will look at these things before he gets board and starts chewing. It has worked well for me.
I would use poison but have heard of mickey eating and going someplace to die and smell up the garage for a month. I do use poison in an unattached shed that is away from the house. I don't like the idea of other animals eating the poisoned rodent but refuse to let them destroy my stuff.
