In Lima I had some serious 'issues' - I had the hotel water tested at one of our labs along side ice from the bar as well as a sample of bottled water. The hotel facets proved to provide no pathogens nor did the bottled water, however, the ice contained fecal, e-coli, and coliforms.
I will do the same thing in Istanbul. Its cool working for a company that tests EVERYTING.
