Mail-In Rebates
Anyone use them? Frustrated by them?
Here in the midwest, Menards has been running a 11% rebate promotion for what seems like 3 or 4 years now. You buy your stuff, clip off the bottom of the receipt, fill out a form and mail it it. Five or six weeks later, you get a post card with your rebate. There's no online submission other than the form you need to use is available as a pdf on their website. It always costs you a stamp. Between losing the receipt, having a receipt that is less than it's worth to fill out, and losing the form once you get it back, I wonder what their actual redemption rate is.
I can't find the rebate that I know we got about a month ago, but I did find a $5 and something one from May of 22 that fell out of the drawer and down to the bottom of the cabinet. It's frustrating.
