If you rent a car out of SFO make sure you take before and after pictures. I got completely scammed by rental agency Sixt who 1 month after return of car billed me $280+ for a destroyed driver side mirror. I was like hell to the no but did not have pictures and they dinged my credit. Im guessing someone at SFO rental garage did the damage, they actually make you sigh a vandalism waiver upon rental saying avoid the city and leave car unlocked. First time in 30+ years renting cars at airport I got scammed. YMMV
