Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

A very rare biplane flew into Placerville today to pick up some control surface repairs for yet another rare bird.
This plane is the only one in the world and an interesting fun fact, it was used to transport two horses out of a snow bound property back in the day when it was used as a real working plane in Alaska. The horses were sedated to calm their nerves and the top panel was removed just behind the wing for their head to stick out. I was told that the plane can fly so slow, speed wasn’t an issue with getting them out of the property rather than putting them down due to lack of food. I did not see this personally but it does make an interesting story.
