For a nice coastal hike, try the Coastal Trail in Half Moon Bay. A good route would be from Cowell Purisima Coastal Trailhead, then north to the Ritz, where you can get a burger at the golf shack next to Mullens. It's about 7-8 miles out and back, mostly flat. Beautiful views, and you can go down to some nice beaches along the way.

I think this trail is still open only on weekends. Otherwise, park at the end of Poplar Street and go north from there, as far as you want. Traffic on 92 to HMB on weekends can be pretty heavy after 10AM.
