1.5 inches in the last 30 minutes. Now light. So that gives a chance for the city storm drains to empty.
Speaking of which, since I call Long Beach "The sewer by the sea," you might wonder. Well, a part that is due to the population north and east of me that think the L.A. River, and the engineered portions of same being a flood control, is their city dump from diapers and condoms to tires and furniture. It all adds up on our beach. After a long dry spell, tons of for real siht flows down to the river mouth at the Port of Long Beach. Since we have a breakwater the sewage just floats around for a few days.
Gotta watch your step for needles in the sand.
I'm reading the airport weather data wrong. They have rainfall amounts for every 3 minutes. It says 0.24 in the "inch" column and then they sum it up every few hours. I'll provide the link for pilots here to interpret.

1.5 inches can't be right.
Anyway, it's been light all day except for that 30 minutes.
Look171, I'm not forgetting anyone, homeless or otherwise. I know what the neighborhoods look like adjacent to the river all the way to Dodger Stadium. Some nice and some not.
