Length and fan motor draw has a lot to do with it. When modified.
Look at the factory wiring diagram and the fuse box.
Compare the existing wire.
Replace with same or better.
You can replace that with 10 gauge a half inch thick. But as long as the fuse is still the weakest link then it's all good.
