We had a 5.2 directly beneath this one’s in the late 80s. We lost a few plates and a cheap clock fell off the wall.
I do remember the Sylmar quake, I suppose it’s the earliest one I remember and it was a doozy. And of course the LA earthquake that dropped interstate 10 in the late 90s (?).
My children are between 27 and 31 and you were right, I don’t think any of them have any memory of a decent sized earthquake.
