As a long time computer user that lived through the dial-up era, I am just blown away with file transfer speed in the real world of today.
I just uploaded a gigabyte of data to a vendor and it was done in just a few minutes. I remember the first time I download a one megabyte file and it took "only" 12 minutes. At those speeds it would have taken over 8 days to upload, and it would have never worked at all due to dropped connections. It just staggers my imagination how far data transmission has come.
Of course I stream 4K Dolby surround sound movies and it is just no big deal. A DVD movie was 4.7 Gig and that was a huge file once upon a time.
