^^^ Somewhat similar...I had a coupon for $3 off on any $10 purchase at any Lotto retailer.
I figured it was an omen to further winnings and was at Meijer with my coupon.
I asked for two $5 scratch off cards and the lady ripped off two of them and I inserted my credit card.
After a few seconds it didn't allow it. She said Lotto tickets have to be paid with a debit card or cash. I had neither...and said I have never seen that before.
I could tell she was getting irritated and she reached into her cash drawer and handed me $3 and said "Have a good day"
She kept the coupon.
